Foundation Fund
The HighPointe Foundation Fund raises unrestricted dollars from individuals, foundations and corporations to bridge the gap between Medicaid and the real cost of providing high quality care, programming and services to people living with IDDs in our communities. The annual fund must raise approximately 10% of our current operating budget, in order for us to maintain the level of quality necessary for our enrichment, education and recreation programs.
Donations to the HighPointe Foundation Fund are vital because they allow us to use your gift wherever the current programming need is greatest. With these donations, we can address immediate priorities within our programming and services model.
Austin Ziel Scholarship Fund
The Austin Ziel Scholarship Fund was established in honor of our son, who’s the inspiration for HighPointe Services. This fund raises unrestricted dollars from individuals, foundations and corporations to provide direct monetary support to our clients who are unable to pay for much-needed HighPointe programs and services.
Donations to the Austin Ziel Fund are critical because they allow us to use your gift wherever the current client need is greatest. With these donations, we can address immediate client needs.
Legacy Donations
Some of the most common forms of legacy donations include: bequests, charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts. These donations can be funded with an appreciated asset, such as stocks/bonds, retirement assets, cash and insurance. Make a lasting impact on the life of a person with IDD today!
Employer Matching Gifts
Many employers will match an employee’s charitable donation dollar-for-dollar. Contact your Human Resources Department to learn if this is something your company participates in.
HighPointe is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, an important qualification for most matching gift programs. If your company does match employee gifts, obtain a form from your Human Resources Department and return the completed form to HighPointe at [email protected]. We accept the following types of matching gifts:
- Cash Donations
- Auction Items – Purchases (in excess of fair-market value)
- Volunteer Hours
In-Kind Donations
Gifts of equipment, supplies or other items are greatly appreciated. Upon receipt, HighPointe may hold, use or sell the item and use the proceeds to fund crucial programs and services. You’ll receive an income tax deduction for the gift’s appraised value and you’ll pay no capital gains tax, provided the donation meets related use requirements of the Internal Revenue Service.
