October Theme Summary: “Living My Best Life ”
This month, individuals will have opportunities to build important life skills through decision-making, goal setting, and self-determination activities. We will also focus on Fire Prevention Week and enjoy seasonal activities such as Halloween, visiting pumpkin patches, creating bird feeders, and taking fall nature walks. Participants will explore the changing season through leaf collection and enjoy mindful moments featuring seasonal fall scents, encouraging relaxation, sensory exploration, and connection with nature

If your schedule changes and you need to adjust the days you attend the day program, please call the front desk so we can assist you with updating your schedule. We kindly ask that you do not arrive on unplanned days without notifying us first, as it can affect staffing and program planning. Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!

Our Day Program hours are 8:00 AM–3:00 PM.
We encourage our clients to enjoy as much of the day as possible!
Each day is filled with opportunities to learn, connect with friends, build skills, and have fun. Our mornings and afternoons are full of engaging lessons, creative crafts, activities, and skill-building opportunities.
Staying for the full day gives our clients the chance to participate in everything we have planned and make the most of their time at HighPointe! 💙

As we head into the colder months, cold and flu season is beginning. To help keep our clients, families, and staff healthy and safe, we kindly ask that you keep your client home if they are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms. We appreciate your help in preventing the spread of illness and keeping our HighPointe community healthy!
Welcome Katherine as our Assistant Director of Residential Services
We are excited to welcome Katherine to our HighPointe family as our new
Assistant Director of Residential Services!
Katherine brings a wealth of experience in supporting individuals and leading residential services teams. She holds a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and completed graduate work in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. Katherine has extensive experience with Colorado Medicaid Waiver requirements, service regulations, documentation, billing, residential home visits, and client check-ins.
We are thrilled to have Katherine join our team and look forward to the experience, knowledge, and care she brings to HighPointe!
