I have one year of experience working with the intellectual and developmental disabilities community, during which I have become a Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) and obtained CPR certification. In this role, I have discovered a supportive and accepting environment where I have formed true friendships. I appreciate being able to be myself without fear of judgment, and I find great fulfillment in contributing to this vibrant and compassionate community.
have worked with the IDD community since 2000 and am QMAP, CPR, and First Aid certified. I love this work because it’s never one-sided—I get to teach, learn, grow, and be inspired every day by the people I support.
I have worked as a CNA since 2019, and my passion for the IDD community was inspired by my cousin, who has an intellectual disability. I genuinely enjoy working with individuals in this community because of the joy it brings me to see the smiles on their faces as they enjoy the activities we do together. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of their experiences and make a positive impact in their lives.
I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with certifications in Assisted Living Facilities. I bring compassion, dedication, and professionalism to every aspect of my work. I love the energy of caregiving and value the unique characteristics each individual brings.
I have served as both an assistant supervisor and supervisor in a group home setting, as well as a direct care staff member within the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) sector. With over 24 years of experience in the IDD field, I bring strong leadership and hands-on expertise to my work. I hold certifications in supervision, crisis intervention, nutrition, and diet. I find working with the IDD community incredibly rewarding because it allows me to witness unique perspectives and celebrate meaningful personal milestones. It is a true privilege to help foster inclusive environments where every individual’s strengths are recognized, respected, and valued
I have previously worked with IDD teenagers and young adults at a college prep school, where I also taught them how to swim. This experience allowed me to work with individuals who often don't have the opportunity to engage in typical activities or interactions. It brings me great joy to connect with the IDD community and help them experience things many people take for granted.
I have been a caregiver for about 10 years and began my journey by working closely with a client with Rett Syndrome, with whom I formed a lasting friendship. Through programs and community events, I had the opportunity to meet many of her friends as well. I enjoy working in this field because of the meaningful friendships, unique personalities, and genuine connections I get to experience. I value the honesty in this work and take pride in providing compassionate, attentive care.
I had no prior experience when I started, but I quickly fell in love with the environment—one where no one is judged for where they come from or who they are. It’s a place where people are genuinely happy to see you every day. Being able to make someone else’s life easier is truly humbling and deeply meaningful to me.

Program Specialist
I have six years of experience working with individuals with special needs, including four years with Alzheimer’s and dementia clients and two years in a hospital setting, primarily in Med/Oncology. My passion for caregiving began in middle school when I helped my uncle coach my cousin’s Special Olympics baseball team, inspiring me to pursue this path. As a Program Specialist, CNA, and QMAP-certified professional, I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
